I went to a town-wide yard sale two weekends ago. At the last sale, I noticed this lamp laying on the ground. I bent to pick it up and noticed the FREE tag on it. I did not need another lamp in my house, but I have a "thing" for lamps. So I could not leave it behind. :)

| The lampshade was beyond repair. I stripped all of the material off of the metal frame. |

| I searched for quite a while in my fabric stash and could not find a suitable piece to make a shade out of. Happened upon a very old, threadbare pillowcase that my mom gave me 20+years ago. I cut off the ruffle. Then I put the frame inside the pillowcase. I cut off the excess from the top and bottom. I hot glued the case to the frame. I then hot glued the ruffle from the pillowcase to the top of the shade. Glued white pom-poms to the bottom. |

| I gave the lamp body a couple of coats of Valspar's Lunar Tide. It's kind of Shabby Chic now. I plan on putting it in our little reading area. |
